Phoenix represents Treorchy Comprehensive School’s work to be an inclusive and empathetic organisation; accepting of diversity, where everyone feels safe and can be their best selves. They aspire to promote a positive sense of self and belonging: CYNEFIN. This is depicted (by consultation with many pupils, including the wonderful Diversity Group), through the composition, imagery and colours chosen, which encompass themes including disability, religion, LGBTQ+ and anti-racism.
