Summary

The Sculpture Auction is the final event for the A Dog’s Trail with Snoopy art trail. The sculptures will be auctioned off under the spotlight to raise funds for Dogs Trust, so we can continue to deliver vital work in finding forever homes for dogs that need them most. All 38 lots will go under the hammer in a bidding spectacular with none other than TV personality and renowned auctioneer, Charles Hanson.

You can get involved by buying a ticket and joining us for the live action or signing up and tuning into our live stream feed. A smaller selection of sculptures will form part of our live auction on the evening, and those remaining will be available for online bidding. All 39 sculptures will still be displayed at the venue throughout the live auction for you to view and enjoy. To view which sculptures will be available to bid on at the live auction, please visit https://dog.wildinartauctions.com/. So bidding paddles at the ready…because it’s going to be an evening you won’t want to miss!

Tickets cost £20 per person and are now available to purchase on Eventbrite.

Tickets are non-refundable and subject to an online booking fee. All profits from the event will raise funds for Dogs Trust.

Due to limited capacity at the venue, we ask that only serious bidders purchase tickets for the live auction with the understanding that Wild in Art sculptures typically fetch £2,500-£15,000 at auction. This is to ensure that we can raise the highest possible funds for Dogs Trust on the night. Online bidders will have a live video feed to the event on the night, or tickets to view the sculptures at our public Farewell Event can be purchased here.

In-person and Online Bidding

Due to members of the RMT now planning 3 days of strike action on the 21st June, we have made the decision to shorten the auction, which will now conclude at 9pm. In line with this, a smaller selection of the sculptures will form part of our live auction on the evening. The remaining sculptures will be available for online bidding until 2pm the following day, 22nd June. To view which sculptures will be available to bid on at the live auction, please visit https://dog.wildinartauctions.com/.

If you wish to make a bid in person at the live Auction, you must pre-register and complete the Bidder Registration Form. Please email your Bidder Registration Form to adogstrail@dogstrust.org.uk or bring it with you on the night along with your ID.

Sculptures that are being sold via the online auction will be displayed with a QR code that will take you through to the online bidding registration page, also accessible by visiting adogstrail.org/auction. If you wish to bid on both auctions you must register for the live and online auctions separately.

For those wanting to bid online for both the live and online auctions, you will need to sign up and create an account on our online bidding platform :

All sculpture lots available to bid on at both the live and online auctions can be viewed on our online bidding platform where you will also be able to watch a live stream feed of the live auction on the evening.

Please note that Self Care with Snoopy will not be in our auction as it will be the star prize of our Farewell Weekend raffle. All the mini Snoopy sculptures will also not feature in the auction as they will be returned to schools for pupils to enjoy.

If you would like to receive a quote on an approximate delivery/shipping cost for the sculpture ahead of the auction, please get in touch directly with our shipping partner CitySprint via srees@citysprint.co.uk.

Bidding online on the evening

Online bidding during the live auction

As a registered bidder for the Dogs Trust auction you will be able to place a bid on any lot ahead of the auction starting at 6pm BST. An hour before a live bidding link will appear on the catalogue and lot pages, if you click this link you will be able to view the auction as it takes place, there will be audio and video as well as real time prices. You can still leave bids on upcoming lots when the auction is taking place, just not on the lot that is being offered by the auctioneer or past lots.

When the live auction begins you will be able to see and hear the auctioneer, the price the auctioneer currently has on a lot will show as the ‘Current bid’ If you are registered and approved to bid there will be a bid button that shows the next bid amount. If you press the bid button the auctioneer will be notified, and you will be told on screen that you are in the lead. If another internet bidder or room bidder bids you will be instantly notified that you have been outbid and a new asking price will appear on the bid button. If you are successful with your online bid, when the hammer goes down you will be notified that you were the winning bidder on screen.
